My name is Dean and I am a developmental plant biologist. I have spent time studying and working at universities and plant breeding institutes in England, Germany and the USA. I gained my PhD during my time working at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. In addition to this site on coffee I also have a site that is dedicated to the biology of plants.
I have a strong interest in all plants and have always been a happy consumer of both coffee and tea. I have read much about the health implications of tea consumption, and of the processes that occurred during coffee production, so thought it would be nice to create a site that puts across the information available in scientific research papers in layman's terms; hence the birth of the time for coffee and tea site.
